Nate and the big bathtub

Natalie and I headed out to the Wilson’s house for a pool party last night. I was so happy to have the chance to take Nate for his first dip in a swimming pool. He was hesitant and a little overwhelmed at first, but once he got his little feet in the warm water he [...]

Jim’s cameras

I’m pleased as punch that Jim’s cameras arrived today and I was able to spend some time arranging and placing them just so in our living room. It means a lot to Alec and me to have just a few of his prized cameras. There are some amazing classics in the collection, all well loved [...]

April 3, 2009

We laid my great aunt, Rosemary, to rest this past Friday. Her ashes were buried next to Nanny, her mother, at the McBride family plot. The day was strange, touching, funny and sad from moment to moment. A few things I’ll never forget about that day:
1. My aunt crying as the family processed down the [...]
